City Walls & Hidden Gems
The southern part of the city is off the usual tour routes, but we invite you to discover its hidden treasures, such as:
The open market where local merchants offer fruit, vegetables, cheese, home-made brandy, olive oil – all the Mediterranean smells and flavours of Dubrovnik combined with its timeless trading customs.
The Church of St. Ignatius. One of the greatest examples of Baroque architecture in the city.
A walk through the intricate, narrow streets of the Southern Quarter then takes you deep into the oldest part of the city, streets that have produced some of Dubrovnik's most prominent poets, composers, scientists and statesmen.
One of the last stops is the "Rupe Granary" Museum, which will leave you with a strong impression of the lifestyle of Dubrovnik's people through the centuries.
The tour finishes with a walk on the city walls, where you will have a chance to get an overview of this fascinating quarter of the town and to savour the parts of the city you have explored from a different perspective.
Please note, this tour is not suitable for those with walking difficulties due to the numerous steps and distance covered.
